No, we don't. But in Shizuoka, you can find cheaper accommodation options compared to Tokyo.
Shizuoka Sangyo University can introduce you to some realestate companies that are kind to international students.

Do you help with a part-time job?

We don't. Most of our students find part-time jobs through information magazines or websites.
To be able to work part-time, an international student must apply for "Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted" (parttime work permission, to put it simply).
Also, there is a law restricting international students to work more than 28 hours per week. Please make sure to follow that rule.

Should I move before I enter university?

Thoroughly check how long it takes to get to the university.
Even if you live within Shizuoka prefecture, in some cases it will be better to move.
Classes start at 9:00 AM.

Are there any events for international students?

Yes. We hold events like introducing your home country at Japanese schools or international students meetups.
The Student Support Section informs and recruits students for them.

Do you have any club activities or circles that might
be interesting for international students?

The calligraphy club, tea ceremony club, and international exchange meetings are popular with international students.
Recruitment is held every April.

What should I do if I have any trouble?

Please contact the Student Support Section. We do our best to help international students live comfortably.

Example: every possible consultation on the study process and life/scholarship and grants application/Japanese resident status-related and other various procedures/cultural exchange activities for international students.
